Prepare Your Items

The time you spend preparing your items is a good investment. The better your items look (and even smell) the faster they will sell. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these preparation helps.

**Improperly prepared items will not be accepted during check in.**

CLOTHING:

  • All clothing should be freshly laundered and ironed if needed. Wrinkled clothing will not be accepted. It will not sell.
  • When hanging clothing, the hanger should look like a question mark (?) when held up facing you. This is an important detail that makes shopping easier for our patrons.
  • Safety pin tags to the front right of clothing.
  • All buttons must be buttoned, snaps snapped, and zippers zipped!
  • Clothing such as socks can be grouped together and placed in a clear Ziplock bag. Be sure to "lock" the top of the bag with clear packing tape.
  • When attaching tag to Ziplocked items use ONE piece of clear packing tape. DO NOT cover the bar tag with the packing tape.

SHOES:

  • Shoelaces may be tied together with tag safety pinned to laces – OR
  • Shoes may be held together with safety pins – OR
  • Shoes may be held together using clear packing tape (not scotch tape) and tag secured to the bottoms using clear packing tape
  • When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing tape.

LARGE ITEMS:

  • Securely attach tag to item using clear packaging tape
  • When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing tape.

SMALL ITEMS (such as sippys, utensils, pacifiers):

  • Group small items in clear Ziplock bags.
  • Attach tag to outside of package using clear packing tape. Be sure to include on the label everything included in Ziplock bag.
  • “Lock” the bag shut using clear packing tape. (Little hands will try to break-in!)
  • When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing tape.
