Prepare Your Items
The time you spend preparing your items is a good investment. The better
your items look (and even smell) the faster they will sell. Please take a
few minutes to familiarize yourself with these preparation helps.
**Improperly prepared items will not be accepted during check in.**
CLOTHING:
- All clothing should be freshly laundered and ironed if needed.
Wrinkled clothing will not be accepted. It will not sell.
- When hanging clothing, the hanger should look like a question
mark (?) when held up facing you. This is an important detail that
makes shopping easier for our patrons.
- Safety pin tags to the front right of clothing.
- All buttons must be buttoned, snaps snapped, and zippers zipped!
- Clothing such as socks can be grouped together and placed in a
clear Ziplock bag. Be sure to "lock" the top of the bag with clear
packing tape.
- When attaching tag to Ziplocked items use ONE piece of clear
packing tape. DO NOT cover the bar tag with the packing tape.
SHOES:
- Shoelaces may be tied together with tag safety pinned to laces –
OR
- Shoes may be held together with safety pins – OR
- Shoes may be held together using clear packing tape (not scotch
tape) and tag secured to the bottoms using clear packing tape
- When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing
tape.
LARGE ITEMS:
- Securely attach tag to item using clear packaging tape
- When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing
tape.
SMALL ITEMS (such as sippys, utensils, pacifiers):
- Group small items in clear Ziplock bags.
- Attach tag to outside of package using clear packing tape. Be
sure to include on the label everything included in Ziplock bag.
- “Lock” the bag shut using clear packing tape. (Little hands will
try to break-in!)
- When attaching your tag do not cover the barcode with packing
tape.
